Have we turned a 'deaf' (and dare I say dumb) ear toward the injustices in the world? Pick your battle(s). I find most non-African-Americans do not want to talk about racism, but there's a full array of other 'problems/issues' to tackle and to wrestle with during our silence. We do not want to talk about these 'issues' because it is too political. Is that right? Is every major 'issue' about humanity too political? Are 'we' making it (issues) political because 'we' feel uncomfortable discussing the fate of humanity in the pulpit? I think we are scared 'stiff'. 'We' are afraid to upset the 'apple cart' or to cause a disturbance. If 'we' feel really comfortable every Sunday, then 'we' are not challenged to be partners with God to make this world better by the measure that God gives us. If you want your pastor/preacher just to give you a 'feel good' message, then you are doing yourself an injustice. There are enough churches/places of worship, in which there should be no one without food nor shelter. If churches would unite and stop placing humanity in the political arena, we could build an state-of-the-art hospital in West Africa to fight ebola, malaria, etc. Yes, we can do more.
"Feed My People" were words spoken to me by the Holy Spirit in 2009 while I was asleep. As I began to ask the Lord to help me to feed His people by physical means, the Lord again spoke: "... not by bread alone,..." The Holy Spirit has lead me to share the Word with His people. I am humbled by this experience. The following two (2) verses are the foundation of this ministry:
- "But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." Matthew 4:4
- Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty. "John 6:35
